
Jason Davis has a doctorate in jazz performance from McGill University and a master's in classical performance from UMass Amherst. He has a passion for teaching and works with students of all ages, styles, and levels.
Jason currently teaches music at Amherst College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has also taught at McGill University, UMass Amherst, Mount Holyoke College, and Deerfield Academy. He performs jazz, pop, classical, salsa, and Brazilian music with a wide range of ensembles and leads the environmental sound/improvisation group Earthsound.
Jason also has an extensive background in environmental science and education. He holds a master's degree in ecology from the University of Florida, has done field research in Costa Rica, and has worked as a ranger for the National Park Service.
